Building Healthier, Educated & Food-Secure Communities
Atim Ekanem Foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to transforming lives through sustainable interventions in Health, Education, and Agriculture across underserved communities in Nigeria.
WHO WE ARE
Integrated Solutions for Sustainable Community Development
Atim Ekanem Foundation is a community-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of vulnerable populations through integrated development interventions.
Originally established as a kidney health-focused initiative, the Foundation has evolved into a broader platform addressing critical social challenges through three strategic thematic areas:
- Health
- Education
- Agriculture
We believe sustainable communities are built when people are healthy, educated, economically empowered, and food secure.
Health
Promoting preventive healthcare, medical outreach, health awareness, and community wellness programs for underserved populations.
Education
Expanding educational opportunities through scholarships, literacy support, youth mentorship, and school intervention programs.
Agriculture
Empowering smallholder farmers and rural communities through sustainable agriculture, agribusiness support, and food security initiatives.
Our Strategic Pillars
Equal Focus. Shared Impact.
AEF advances sustainable development through interconnected programs in health, education, and agriculture – creating long-term impact for women, youth, families, and rural communities.
Health
Promoting preventive healthcare, wellness education, maternal health, medical outreach, and community sanitation programs.
Education
Expanding educational opportunities through scholarships, literacy support, youth mentorship, and school intervention programs.
Agriculture
Empowering smallholder farmers and rural communities through sustainable agriculture, agribusiness support, and food security initiatives.
“The free kidney screening saved my life. I didn’t know I had stage 2 kidney disease until Atim Ekanem Foundation came to our community.”
— Blessing, Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Through our community health outreach initiative, Atim Ekanem Foundation has reached over 12,500 individuals with free screenings — detecting life-threatening conditions early and connecting people to treatment they could never afford alone.
