At Atim Ekanem Foundation, 2024 was a year filled with impactful moments as we extended our mission of kidney health awareness to communities across Akwa Ibom State. We connected with residents to discuss the importance of hydration, a balanced diet, and early detection in preventing kidney-related ailments. - Ikpe Village, Obot Akara
In this rural area, our efforts centered on explaining risk factors such as high blood pressure and diabetes and offering practical health tips. - Ukana Ikot Ntuen, Essien Udim
Our team held engaging sessions, answering questions and providing resources to support healthier lifestyles. - Ikot Obong Otoro
Here, we emphasized the dangers of overusing painkillers and the critical role of regular check-ups in maintaining kidney health. - Ikot Ntuen Oku, Uyo Local Government
We partnered with local health workers to distribute informational materials and discuss the importance of kidney health with community members. - Atia Essien Uruk Uso
Our outreach concluded with heartfelt conversations about access to healthcare and the role of community support in addressing kidney diseases.
